Road travel is dangerous due to checkpoints, armed groups, poor road conditions, and landmines. Taxis are unavailable in most areas. Car rentals do not operate. No ride-sharing apps function in the region. Movement should only occur with trusted local contacts and comprehensive security arrangements if absolutely necessary.

Best Time To Visit

Due to extreme security risks, travel to Dhamar is not recommended at any time. Historically, the cooler months from October to April offered more pleasant weather with daytime temperatures around 20-25°C (68-77°F) in the highlands. The summer months (May-September) can be hot. Rainfall typically occurs during two seasons: March-April and July-September.
