Tipping is not mandatory but appreciated in restaurants and for services. A small amount (5-10%) is sufficient.

FestiCabinda in August celebrates local culture with music, dance, and traditional games. The Simulambuco Festival commemorates the 1885 treaty with Portugal.

Public transport can be irregular. Taxis don't use meters, so agree on a fare before starting your journey.

Portuguese is the official language, but learning a few phrases in Fiote or Kikongo can be appreciated. Handshakes are common, and maintaining eye contact shows respect.

Eat at local markets or small eateries (quiosques) for affordable meals. Shared taxis (candongueiros) are cheaper than private ones.
